This privacy policy explains how Cool Girls Society ("CGS", "we") handles your personal data when you visit our website or apply for one of our trips.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Zsuzsanna Kozma (Zsuzsi), operating as Cool Girls Society. You can reach us at kozma.susannah@gmail.com, or by direct message on Instagram (@coolgirls_society) or TikTok (@coolgirls_society).

What we collect and why

When you apply for a trip, we collect:

  • your full name, email address and phone number;
  • your Instagram username (optional);
  • the trip dates you choose;
  • anything else you decide to tell us in the message field;
  • the date and time of your application.

We use this information to review your application, to arrange a short FaceTime call with you before your place is confirmed, and to contact you about the trip you applied for. No payment is taken on this website: if your place is confirmed, payment is arranged directly with you (bank transfer or Revolut), and we keep the related records only as long as the law requires. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement with you (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). We do not use your details for newsletters or advertising unless you separately agree to that.

How long we keep it

We keep your application for 12 months after the end of the trip you applied for. If your application is declined or you withdraw it, we delete your details within 3 months. You can ask us to delete them at any time.

Who can see your data

Only the CGS founder can see applications, behind a password-protected page. Our website is built and hosted for us by Sigreco Systems Kft. (2000 Szentendre, Fenyő utca 8., Hungary), which acts as our data processor. The data is stored on Google Cloud servers in the European Union (Belgium). We never sell your data.

Third-party services on the website

  • Photos on the website are loaded from Unsplash (images.unsplash.com), which can see your IP address when your browser loads an image.
  • Links to Instagram and TikTok take you to those platforms; their own privacy policies apply there.
  • The website does not use tracking or advertising cookies.

Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format. If you gave consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, email kozma.susannah@gmail.com.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example in Hungary the Nemzeti Adatvédelmi és Információszabadság Hatóság (NAIH, naih.hu), or the authority in the country where you live.

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
